Embracing the Tuscan Bones

From the moment Meg first stepped into this home, she recognized its strong architectural roots and a canvas primed for transformation.

This project marks the latest chapter in a longstanding relationship with valued clients who have entrusted MBD with the evolution of their home. It’s a collaboration grounded in mutual trust, shared aesthetics, and a commitment to creating spaces that reflect personal taste and functionality for their family. The transformation of the home is unfolding thoughtfully, one intentional phase at a time.

Throughout the interiors, Mediterranean influences were embraced and refined. In the family room, a once-overlooked fireplace was transformed into a sculptural focal point, wrapped in handcrafted Star and Cross tiles—an iconic pattern with Moroccan origins, chosen here in a soft, luminous white for a fresh yet timeless effect. This motif continues in the powder bath, establishing a subtle throughline and sense of cohesion.

The interplay of old-world character and contemporary sophistication defines every corner of the space. Natural light is harnessed and enhanced through a restrained palette and elegant material selections. Arched doorways, warm plaster tones, and artisanal finishes offer depth and texture while allowing each element to breathe.

This is a home evolving with grace. With the foundational spaces reimagined, the next phase, a full kitchen remodel, is already underway. Designed to balance functionality with understated luxury, the kitchen will be reconfigured to serve as both a culinary workspace and a social heart of the home, seamlessly aligned with the modern Spanish narrative that now defines the residence.
